Minimum substitute teacher qualifications for the Smart Start training program include
- a clear criminal background check
- a minimum of 18 years of age
- two character references
- a minimum of a GED or high school diploma
- successful completion of the five day training; and
- a commitment to work a minimum of 4 days a month as a substitute teacher
I attended the Smart Start Early Education Substitute Teacher Program in January 2008. I am happy to say that I have been employed full time at Eagle Springs Children Center in Centerville, GA for the past year thanks to your program.
