Minimum substitute teacher qualifications for the Smart Start training program include
- a clear criminal background check
- a minimum of 18 years of age
- two character references
- a minimum of a GED or high school diploma
- successful completion of the five day training; and
- a commitment to work a minimum of 4 days a month as a substitute teacher
I really enjoyed and learned so much last week at the Smart Start Early Education Substitute Teacher Program training course. Thank you for putting together a really powerful week of great trainers and topics. I now feel that I have a great foundation for taking my career in Early Childhood Education in the right direction.
